A Study on Development of Biodegradable Plastic Packaging for Cosmetic to Reduce Environmental Effect

Abstract

The study was undertaken in order to determine an environmental effects and health issue caused by
cosmetic packaging using non-biodegradable plastic. Cosmetics plastic packaging are one of the main sources of
debris release to the sea and becomes a sea pollution. This project aimed to identify an effect of cosmetics plastic
packaging on environment. The objective of this study was to investigate the potential impact of cosmetics
packaging on environment, to investigate the benefits of recycling plastic for cosmetics packaging and to
determine the consumer awareness about an environmental effects and health issue caused by cosmetic packaging
using non- biodegradable plastic. The method to achieve the first and second objectives of this study conducted
by reviewed paper. For the third objective, the researchers use google form online survey. The responses consist
of 70 persons
