Challenges On Adoption Of Big Data Analytics By Malaysian’s Small And Medium Enterprise

Abstract
Big Data Analytics (BDA) is being utilized as an unused vital channel in commerce, permitting companies to accumulate vital experiences for way better decision-making. In spite of the fact that most multinationals and bigger firms are attempting to apply BDA to move forward organizational execution, there are a few challenges on the selection of it by Small and Medium Enterprise. The objectives of the study are to identify the nature of adoption BDA at Malaysia by SMEs and to investigate the challenges faced by the SMEs on the adoption of BDA at Malaysia by using Technological Organizational and Environmental Model (TOE). This study focuses on the BDA adoption by 20 SMEs in Malaysia which have deployed any form of BDA services. The technology, organization and environment factors are considered to be challenges for SMEs in adoption of DBA in Malaysia. The findings show that SMEs face considerable barriers to BDA implementation when it comes to TOE elements. The study's objectives were met, but the study's limitations should be investigated in order to determine future directions for SMEs.
