A Survey on Online Learning Process: Students’ Readiness And Acceptance

Abstract

This study is intended to investigate the level of readiness and students’ acceptance towards the online learning or the e-learning process in Politeknik Kota Bharu. A survey research design using online survey was adopted in this study. 122 semester one students from the two major Departments of Politeknik Kota Bharu were selected as samplings of the survey. Respondents’ readiness and acceptance towards the application of online learning were assessed by a self-developed questionnaire. Results from the online survey were then gathered and analysed. Results revealed that majority of the Electrical Engineering and Commerce Department’s new intakes of Politeknik Kota Bharu were in a moderate level of acceptance for applying the e-learning method while their level of readiness towards preparing and adapting themselves with this new norm application is somewhat higher.
